We should all be moving and exercising our bodies on a regular basis. It does not matter what age or body type that you are or how healthy or unhealthy you may be. Exerting your body on a regular basis is necessary for achieving better health and optimal health. Everyone knows this, doctors recommend this, and research heavily supports this.

However, this is much easier said than done for a majority of the population. Under 1/4th of US citizens meet the overall requirements for physical activity. There are many different reasons people do not exercise on a regular basis – some are very valid and some fall more under excuses. Either way, we at St. Johns Chiropractic & Performance have created a convenient  service to help you overcome these reasons and get the physical activity your body needs. No matter what your health and fitness goals are, we have a solution and program that work for you!

This program is for anybody looking to improve their fitness, health, or athletic performance by getting exercise guidance from a physician and a certified strength & conditioning specialist. Our training and experience gives us a unique combination of skills that have helped many people from all walks of life. We can also cater this program to whatever equipment you have available to you. If you are not able to go to a gym, this is not a problem at all! You will still thrive in our program!

What It Looks Like

We begin this process by getting to know you and establishing what your goals are. We can do this over video chat or if you are in the St. Johns area, you can meet can schedule an appointment to come to our office!

After we have established your health goals, your exercise and fitness history, and any relevant medical information; we will then design your personalized exercise program! This program will be specific for your body and what you want to accomplish. We will send you the exercises electronically that way you can view the program at your convenience and view the exercises wherever you choose to workout. The program will include written instructions on how much to do the exercise as well as video demonstrations for how to perform the exercise properly!

The program is led by Dr. Grant Speer who is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). Grant has previous experience working with multiple sports teams and athletes from all age groups and sports. He understands the metabolic and physicals demands of each sport as well as the common injuries that occur in each sport and how to design a program aiming to prevent those injuries.

This program is also led by a Doctor of Chiropractic. Dr. Speer has extensive knowledge with musculoskeletal health issues and helps people break free of their pain every single day. Outside of just musculoskeletal health, he has knowledge in cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders, autoimmune diseases, and much more. He will put in the time and effort to ensure that you have an exercise program that is safe for your condition, injury, or disease.

He has designed and implemented exercise programs for those with osteoporosis, multiple sclerosis, arthritis, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, all sorts of musculoskeletal aches and pains, and those with no current pain or disease but who simply want to gain strength, improve mobility, and maintain balance!

What It Costs

The initial meeting is completely free! This is where we get to know you, establish what your goals are, and learn how we can help you. Since everyone has different goals, needs, equipment, and body type; no two programs will look the exact same. Therefore, a different amount of time will be spent on each program.

After your initial meeting, Dr. Speer will organize your information and give you a quote based off of how much time and attention will be needed for your program. After receiving the quote, you can either sign on and receive the personalized exercise program sent to your phone that will help you achieve your health goals, or you can reject this service. You will never have to pay a dime that you do not agree to pay!
